Broadcasting & Motorsport Consultancy
Andrew Marriott's 40-year experience of organising Motorsports orientated marketing and PR solutions across the globe is available to Corporations and Motorsports organisations through our Pit Lane Promotions subsidiary.
We are proud to be Formula 1/Motorsports consultants to the US organisation Coleman Research and also consult to Wirth & Associates in the Bahamas and to Red River Sports, Dawson Auto Developments and Porter Press.
Andrew's pioneering work in the field of Motorsports PR and sponsorship includes establishing truck racing as a major sport back in the 1980s is well known. He has been on the organising committee of the Network Q Rally, Birmingham Super Prix, Autoglass Tour and the Hong Kong-Beijing Rally.
During 2017 we consulted to the Isle of Man Government on the future of the TT and its broadcasting rights.
This year we have also consulted to the popular American fiction writer J.K.Kelly and to PR agency Dunk Inc.
Andrew has been called upon to act in a number of civil cases as an expert witness on both television and sponsorship matters including for the Motor Sport Association. He has been "on the stand" at London's High Court and is well versed in the etiquette and methodology of the judicial system and working closely with the legal profession.
In 2012 Andrew teamed up with his old driver and rally partner Andy Dawson to compete in Britain's only fuel economy event, the two day MPG Marathon at the request of the Ford Motor Company. By utilising the old rally skills of careful preparation of the vehicle, understanding the regulations and the route, major success has been achieved including overall best MPG with a Fiesta diesel in 2012 and overall best % improvement with a Ford Mustang in 2016. In 2017 we completed the hat trick winning the best petrol MPG with a record breaking 97mpg in the new Fiesta.
In 2011 we won our class in an Escort and gained valuable experience. In 2012 we took a 3-cyl Ford Fiesta diesel to a record shattering 108 miles per gallon to become the first crew to break the 100 mpg barrier. We received our award from the then Minister of Transport Norman Baker. For marketing reasons we used a Ford Transit van in 2013 and obtained the best fuel consumption by a full sized van.
In 2014 Ford asked us to train two of Britain's top Formula Ford racers Harrison Scott and Louise Richardson to compete in the event with a Fiesta while we drove a high performance Focus ST.
In the category for best improvement over manufacturers' figures Harrison and Louise won outright and we finished third. We had taught them too well!
In 2015 we had a new challenge and used a Mondeo hybrid to record best MPG by a full sized saloon. In 2016 we recorded the best ever % improvement in the history of the event in a Ford Mustang V8. In 2017 as well as winning the petrol MPG prize, we team managed a sister Fiesta to diesel and overall MPG victory at 122 mpg.
In 2018, in the driving seat this time, Andrew won outright the historic Layer Marney fuel economy trial in a BMW X3.
Outside the UK we are available to compete for other manufacturers, driver training and event planning.
